| Lighten the dark | OOTD |

Please excuse the messy background of my garden as when I took these pictures it was a spur of the moment idea - also the quality isn't the best at all, I really need to invest in a good camera.
I took these pictures a few weeks ago and I've been meaning on writing this blog post but as usual I've been feeling lazy as well as having prom stress (which is this Friday - how scary!) so that's my excuse for forgetting - sorry!
Anyway less of the negative chatter! This outfit isn't really anything special but I still love it. I didn't really go anywhere when i wore this - only to go and get my dress altered - but I really liked the way it looked. It was one of those outfits that instantly changed my mood as soon as i put it on, in a positive way of course!
Everything that I am wearing in these pictures was of recent purchase except for the grey skull top which inspired the title for this outfit post, in my mind the skulls on the top and the studs that embellish my shoes are a dark thing but the grey material of the top, the whiteness of my shoes and the blazer and of course, the light denim of the skirt all 'lighten' these aspects of the outfit.
As you may be aware I absolutely LOVE the 90s/grunge trend and I love how this skirt gives off that kind of vibe. I've also been loving wearing white recently and since I don't own that many blazers or jackets I bought this white blazer from missguided and I haven't stopped wearing it! I bought it in a size 10 so it looks and feels slightly oversized - another trend which I love.
Another reason why I think i loved this outfit so much was because I wore my hair up, secured with a rose gold cuff that I got from H&M last year, I barely wear my hair up so it's a nice change when I do.

I hope you liked this post, I'm planning on doing more Outfit of the day posts in the future.

Haul | Topshop, Missguided, Asos...

I am so sorry for my lack of posts over the past few months, as you are probably aware, I've had exams. Now however, I've only got one left... which is on Monday, from then on I will be free (at least until i start Sixth Form in September anyway - how scary).
Over this long summer I am hoping to be posting and filming a lot; I've really missed it recently. Anyway, I felt like filming yesterday as I finally had some time to do so -  sooooo here's a little haul for you...
