On 6th June I turned eighteen, something which feels both strange (and slightly frightening) to say whilst oddly feeling like it had been a long time coming. I celebrated the day by going for a lovely meal at Gusto in the Albert Dock, cue Garlic Bread and Pizza and that all important cocktail (I opted for a Redcurrant and Lemon Martini - and oh was it good) not forgetting the compulsory birthday dinner sing-a-long in all it's awkward glory with a candle that would just NOT blow out - sparks were seriously flying. Afterwards ensued more cocktails and drunken dancing, all in all an enjoyable night free from exam stress with my closest friends - roll on the 19th june - exam freedom cannot come soon enough.

Those fluted sleeves got me feeling all free spirited, got to love those 70s vibes, that and off the shoulder tops - my three favourite spring summer trends all wrapped into one dreamy white top. Dungarees, whether in pinafore form or of the trouser kind are another trend rife in the current season, this particular corduroy black number not only gives a slight essence of 60s to the outfit but looks exceptionally good tied with my accessory of the moment - a yellow toned tile patterned belt (which coincidentally, can also double up as a skinny scarf, another much armoured trend amid the 70s revival) got to love a versatile piece ay? Though, for me the stand out item of this outfit is the
gorgeous hippy headband from Ette Clothing, it just screams festival vibes - that 70s boho look which I am so ever trying to achieve - if that's what you're looking for too, let Ette be your guide with their offering of lovely vintage clothes and even lovelier customer service.
